**POSTPONED** Hwy 528 Ribbon Cutting and Group Cleanup

***POSTPONED***
Mother Nature has other plans this weekend — due to weather, our SR528 Ribbon Cutting & Group Cleanup is postponed. The safety of our volunteers is always our #1 priority, and we’ll be rescheduling for a later date.

The Waterway Warriors are excited to announce our newest adopted focus area: the waterway edges along Hwy 528/Beachline Expressway—a beloved spot for fishing, social gatherings, and unfortunately, a high-impact area for trash and debris. After successfully eliminating over 80% of the trash from our other adopted areas, we’re turning our energy here, where the need is greatest.
Join us for the Waterway Warriors Beachline Expressway Ribbon Cutting & Cleanup
📅 Friday, October 11
🕗 8:00–10:00 AM *** WE START ON-TIME... DON'T BE LATE!***
📍 Staging at Kayak Beach (Google Maps "Kayak Beach, Port Canaveral")
We’ll begin with a short Ribbon Cutting ceremony, then roll up our sleeves for a community cleanup to restore this vital stretch of the Banana River.
This area is tragically the #1 site of dolphin trash entanglement in our region. By working together, we can remove harmful debris, protect wildlife, and make our waterways healthier for everyone.
⚠️ Important Notes:
- Closed-toed shoes are mandatory for all participants.
- No children under 12 are permitted at this cleanup.
- Minors ages 12–17 must bring a signed Minor Permission Form to participate (download the form below)
✨ Bring your gloves, grabbers, hydration, and community spirit—and help us make a lasting impact!
