A huge thank you to Space Coast Water Sweep for partnering with Waterway Warriors for an incredible cleanup along the SR528 corridor. Together, more than 30 volunteers removed over 1,700 pounds of trash from the shoreline and water before it could further impact the Banana River and Indian River Lagoon. We also appreciate Xplore the IRL for joining us in the water and capturing some great photos of the cleanup in action. Special thanks to Keefer’s Junk Removal for his community spirit of collaboration and Dirty Duck Junk Removal for stepping up to haul the massive amount of debris to the landfill. It was a great example of what can happen when volunteers, nonprofits, and local businesses all work together to protect our waterways!
