2025 05/24 All Things Pineda

Almost two dozen dedicated volunteers joined forces on the Pineda Causeway for the “All Things Pineda” event—an effort combining the Boots on the Ground cleanup, Barrel Bin Program maintenance, and the installation of monofilament recycling containers. This impactful day included a collaboration with Eagle Scout Nate from the Boy Scouts, who fundraised, assembled, and organized the installation of 22 monofilament line recycling stations at popular fishing spots to help prevent wildlife entanglement. While volunteers braved rough terrain—crawling through thick brush, scaling steep embankments, and navigating uneven ground—to remove trash, a second crew focused on installing and repairing Barrel Bins to ensure continued access to proper waste disposal across the area.  Whew!  What a day!
